A deep look at Vader’s gaming setup

Vader, a role-playing streamer has been part the RP scene ever since 2014. His channel was greatly helped by the fact that streamers Summit1G and SodaPoppin started playing V on his No Pixel server. He met them and they began to collaborate, which helped him grow his audience. Since then, he has grown in his following. We have listed below the peripherals Vader uses to play his games.

Vader uses the Corsair Glaive mice. It is wired and integrated with an optical PixArt PMW3367 sensor. The sensor has a range between 100 and 16,000 DPI. It can also be adjusted in increments up to 1 using the Corsair iCue2.0 software. The mouse can store up to five DPI profiles at once. You can choose from polling rates of 250, 500 or 1,000Hz. It also features adjustable RGB lighting in three zones.

Its three interchangeable thumb-rests are one of the main attractions. The software allows you to program the 6 programmeable buttons. The device is designed to be used in a palm grip style. It measures approximately 12.4x8x3.8cm (4.8×3.40×1.50 ).

Vader uses the Corsair K95 keyboard. It is made from aircraft-grade anodized aluminum with brushed frame and Cherry MX Speed RGB Silver or RGB Brown switches. The keyboard is also topped off with PBT keycaps. Vader doesn’t specify which switches he has chosen for his keyboard. You can swap out the keycaps for other keys, and even includes a set FPS/MOBA keycaps as well as an extra keycap puller. The soft cushioned, soft-textured leatherette palm rest can be removed.

It also has six programmeable macro keys to its left, which you can set up with as many profiles as possible. It also has a volume wheel, multimedia keys and a top-right corner. Corsair’s iCUE program can set the per-key RGB lighting, border RGB lighting, and macros. It measures 46.5x17x3.6cm (=18.3×6.7×1.4 ”.)).

Vader has an ElectroVoice RE20 microphone. However, Vader isn’t clear if he chose the black or grey aesthetic. The Variable-D technology from Electro-Voice reduces proximity effect tonal shifts has been in use since 1968. It was initially intended to be used for recording studio vocals as well as instruments like kick drums or acoustic guitarists. However, some streamers have added it to their setups. These include ProfessorBroman and Pokimane, as well as Kephrii.

The large dynamic element provides a frequency range from 45 to 18,000Hz with a nominal impedance 150O and a level of hum pickup of -130dBm. It also has a 1.5 mV/pascal sensitivity. It has noise cancelling capabilities by blocking background noise. It also has an internal blast, wind filter, and internal shock. protection.

Vader used a Sony A7 digital camera. It is a mirrorless, full-frame camera with an Exmor CMOS 24.3MP sensor. This camera offers a 200–25600 ISO range for video recording. The resolution is 1920x1080p with a frame rate at 5 frames per second and an aspect ratio 3:2. The hybrid autofocus is fast and can be used with either 117 or 99 phase detection AF points. The shutter speed ranges from 1/8000 to 1/4 (3/3 steps), up to 1/60 (which can be increased to 1/30 when using slow shutter mode). The camera is compact with dimensions 12.7×5.5×9.4cm (5×1.89×3.7”) and weight 474g (16.72oz) which makes it easy to transport and use in IRL.

This camera is however far more than what an average streamer would need. This is especially true considering the number of streamers with basic webcams. AdmiralBulldog uses the Razer Kiyo, while Sceptic uses the Logitech BROIO. Vader doesn’t even use a facecam when streaming for immersive purposes.
