WHAT MONITOR DOES MUTEX USE?
MuTeX uses an ASUS VG259QM monitor. The ASUS TUF VG259QM is a 24.5″ gaming monitor that is capable of an extremely high refresh rate of 280Hz. It offers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 with a grey-to-grey response time of 1ms and 0.282mm pixel pitch. Its maximum brightness is at 400 cd/㎡.
It is also compatible with a number of technologies, including its G-Sync and ELMB-Sync compatibility to reduce screen-tearing, as well as its flicker-free and ultra-low blue light technology. MuTeX uses a SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL keyboard. MuTeX’s gaming setup features the tenkeyless version of the SteelSeries Apex Pro. It is a fairly popular wired RG keyboard that is also found in the setups of streamers such as ErycTriceps, BenjyFishy and x2Twins. It is integrated with OmniPoint switches that can be easily adjusted on a per-key basis on-the-fly with actuation points options of between 0.4 to 3.6mm. They operate at a force of 45cN and have a super-fast report rate of 0.7ms and a polling rate of 1,000Hz. There are 6 macro keys, and the keyboard is capable of storing up to 5 macro profiles onboard.
It also features full-key rollover and anti-ghosting, as well as three-way cable routing on its underside. Its compact size allows for more mouse room for gaming. WHAT MICROPHONE DOES MUTEX USE?
MuTeX uses a Shure SM7B microphone. It is unsurprising that MuTeX’s gaming setup features a Shure SM7B microphone given its prevalence among those of content creators. Its frequency response range is between 50 – 20,000Hz and it has a nominal impedance of 150Ω and a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa. It Is powered with normal requirements by an XLR cable, so it will require the separate investment in both an audio interface device and cable.
It has a unidirectional polar pattern that operates at an end-address. This helps to focus the audio input while blocking out extraneous sounds originating from the sides or back of the device. It also features an internal pop-filter to block out plosive mouth sounds, as well as an internal shock mount to reduce disruptions from bumps and movement.
