Customize the News & Interests widget in Windows 10

Recently, Microsoft has taken a step toward more customization of their products with the launch of a new news and interests widget in Windows 10. This new interest hub calls itself “News & Interests” and is shown in the bottom-right corner of Windows 10. This is a good place to add new customized news sources and interests, but it can be difficult to get it to look exactly as you want it to. Here’s how you can customize the News & Interests hub in Windows 10.

News and interests can be a big help to you in keeping up with what’s happening in the world around you. The news and interests can literally make or break an event. For instance, if you are a news junkie, you may want to use the news and interests to keep up with the news and events happening in the world. Alternatively, if you are a gamer, you may want to customize the news and interests to keep you amused.

In the Windows 10 News & Interests app (formerly called “Windows News”, or “WNS”), there is a small circular widget that you can move around and resize on the right-hand side of your screen. By default, the widget is set to display the following categories: News, Arts & Entertainment, Sports, Science &amp…. Read more about google news and let us know what you think.

Personalize the information widget for your interests in Windows 10. It’s something both easy and essential; after all, a lot of news may not be of interest to you. What if we could set it up such that just the ones we want to read show up? Not only that, but we can also choose the weather location, see traffic in our city, and so on.

We open News and Interests and click on the weather symbol, then the three dots in the top right corner of the map.

We must now choose “Change location” from the drop-down menu. We can either adjust the location manually or let Windows figure it out for us.

Because the location service is quite accurate, it’s much simpler to trust it to find us. When we click on “View complete forecast,” a new window in Microsoft Edge will appear, allowing us to view everything connected to the weather in our area in more detail. We can also view a 10-day prediction with a number of fascinating features.

Another option is to customize how the weather forecast appears on the taskbar. This implies we may choose whether to show words or simply the symbol. We’ll do this by right-clicking on an empty area on the taskbar and selecting “Taskbar configuration.” Here, we will proceed to “News and Interests” and pick the option that best suits our needs.

Update the traffic situation.

Another feature that we may modify, similar to the weather section, is the exact location of the traffic. To do so, open the feed and go to the traffic map, where we click on the three dots in the top right corner.

Change location.

When we choose Change Place, we must either identify the location where we came from in Windows 10 or allow the operating system to do so.

When we do, we’ll be able to view all of the information regarding traffic in our city, including warnings, construction schedules, available cameras, and so on.

Manage news and interests.

Another option is to set the news and interest feed such that we may only see the subjects that we are really interested in. To do so, open the news feed and go to the top right corner of the screen and click on “Manage interests.”

A new window will appear, displaying all of the possible interests. From here, we can choose what we want to see in the news and interests.

Add themes to the widget.

To add a subject, click the “+” sign above the white symbol, and to delete it, click the blue “+” sign to prevent it from displaying us relevant news again, click the “+” sign above the white icon.

Record or share news of interest.

Another option is to store or share news that we find interesting straight from the stream. To do so, just click on the three points of the news and a context menu will appear, allowing us to Share, Save, Like to get more similar news or not to like if not, hide the article, and so on.

As you can see, it’s extremely easy to fully customize the Windows 10 Taskbar News & Interests widget. We can leave it as we really like it with some really useful and relevant information to us.
