Ethan Klein’s Opinion of xQc’s Video Game Attorney

Ethan Klein, H3H3 Productions’s executive producer, shared his worries during his live broadcast following Felix Lengyel, aka xQc on Twitch revealed that he would counterclaim the DMCA strike against streaming Olympics.

The situation was a hot topic among content creators ever since xQc, who showed snippets from the Tokyo Olympics on Twitch and then hit back at IOC with a counterclaim has been banned by Twitch.

Ethan Klein, a popular YouTuber, stated that Ryan Morrison, CEO of Evolved Talent Agency, could represent xQc against an IOC lawsuit. This is based on his previous dealings with Morrison.

Ethan Klein stated that Morrison represented him back in 2016 when he was sued for parody videos. Klein explained that he almost sued Morrison after obtaining new counsel in the case.

Ethan voiced concern and said, “He’s a terrible attorney that has royally screwed me, and the fact he is handling this makes it very, very nerve-wracking. He almost got sued for malpractice. We almost sued him for malpractice. The next lawyers we called were very competent and outraged at how he handled it.” Morrison also said that he worried about xQc leading to a poor decision. This could lead not only to the streamer but potentially the entire platform into trouble regarding fair use.

Ethan was not afraid to voice his opinions. It has not seemed to have any impact on xQc’s decision. It will be fascinating to see how Twitch’s counter-claim against the DMCA will turn out.
