Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Riyaad Norodien has drafted a trial at North East United in India after failing to secure a transfer to Baroka. Norodien left Motema Pembe from DRC, which had failed to pay him his salary and other allowances for six months after joining them in June.

He then went to Baroka for an assessment but was unable to arrange a move with Pembe who refused to give him his consent, Phakaaathi has been informed.
“They said he wouldn’t get his approval until June and Baroka couldn’t wait that long because they needed him now. They can’t keep a player they can’t use for that long,” a source said.
However, his agent, Gerald Baloyi, has moved quickly to find a new trial for him in India.
“Yes it is true. North East United from India is interested and has given Norodien a review. He will be with them for a week and then we will see what happens after that,” said Baloyi.
