On Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, the third beta of Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons begins and ends on Saturday, Oct 30th, 2021. The game’s next expansion will include the three final Elite Specializations. They will be available to players on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 and Saturday, October 30, 2021.
Every new Elite Specialization brings a fresh perspective to all core professions and adds new abilities and skills to the game. The beta’s gameplay was shown off in detail on Friday 22 October at 19:00 GMT via the Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel (11 PM PT).
Engineer – Mechanist
A dynamic innovator dives into battle with its jade mech. The traits of the mech can be affected by different specializations.
A mechanist has the ability to specialize in different combat roles. They also have access to the mace, their main weapon, and a range of Signet skills, which can influence battle’s outcome in many ways.
Specter – Thief
Shadow Force is used by the Specter to heal and deal damage to allies. Siphon will be replaced by Steal and the Specter receives a new weapon set, which includes a scepter as well as dual attacks based off of off-hand weapons.
Ranger – Untamed
Melee brawlers will be able to use “Unleashed”, which gives the untame the power to give nature magic to their pets. Pets will gain new capabilities in this state.
Unleashed also affects the hammers used by Untamed. New Ranger will have the ability to use cantrip skills. This cantrip has a variety of crowd-controlling and defensive effects.
Guild Wars 2 End of Dragons: One final beta event will be held in November. The beta will include all nine professions as well as the very first experience with the Siege Turtle.
