Mosele urges his mates to step up their appearances against Chiefs

With the focus now on Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates midfielder Goodman Mosele says all they need to do is level up their game and hit the targets when the Soweto giants meet in a DStv Premiership game at the Orlando on Saturday. Stage.

The Buccaneers will aim to return to winning ways after dropping two points against Cape Town City last Wednesday, where they played a goalless draw against City in a match in which Bucs appeared dominant for most of the game, with Mosele ending up walking away with a man-of-the-match award.

Mosele believes that he managed to play well thanks to the help of his teammates and wants the team to put in another good performance against Amakhosi.

“To play, you have to be helped by your teammates, so I played well, but without my teammates (I couldn’t have played well). And we played well as a team, the whole game, I won’t say the first half or the second half, the whole game, the problem was just not being able to score,” said the Bucs midfielder.

“We can’t pressure ourselves, (I know) there’s pressure, but we shouldn’t pressure ourselves when we play at home. We have to go there (the Chiefs’ game) and play like we played against Cape Town, maybe just to boost our performance, score goals and relax.”

Playing to a 0-0 draw with the Mother City-based club, the Buccaneers missed an opportunity to jump to second place as they remained fourth in the standings with 32 points, tied with Chiefs after playing 21 and 18 matches respectively, with Amakhosi in third place on the log.

The Buccaneers would be left without the serve of influential player Thembinkosi Lorch for the Chiefs’ game, as the winger suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to miss City’s game.
