Nadeshot On Activision’s Use In Warzone CDL Viewership

Matthew ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag, the creator of 100 Thieves, has explained why he disagrees with Activision Blizzard’s plans to use the battle royale hit Warzone to boost Call of Duty League viewership.

Many people have been discussing how the CoD League can increase viewership and better integrate casual players into the competitive space since it was first franchised in 2019.

With the success of Warzone, many thought that the battle royale game could be the perfect way to get players into competitive gaming, and Activision agrees, according to Nadeshot.

Nadeshot, on the other hand, disagrees and has expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation as a whole.

In the pre-show for the LA Thieves, as GM Eric ‘Muddawg’ Sanders and Nadeshot talked about the latest news and the upcoming season, Nade shot a few words about the CDL’s flaws and his thoughts on them.

“There has to be ranked play from launch,” Nade said, adding that the problem begins with ranked play.

To strike while the iron is hot, he added that events should begin in December rather than February, before repeating that he “doesn’t agree with the Warzone strategy.”
