Nadeshot is a former pro who followed in his mentor H3cz’s footsteps when he decided to start up his own esports organization, 100 Thieves, upon leaving OpTic Gaming in April 2016, when he was still 23 years old. As his brand grew, he started looking for new partners, and some big names decided to join in including Drake, Scooter Braun and Dan Gilbert in order to be able to get into the LCS by the 2018 deadline. By July 2019, his organization was valued at $125 million USD and he remains its CEO.
Therefore, Nadeshot is known for being an all-rounder in the streaming world: a professional Call of Duty player, team captain, entrepreneur, and now co-owner and CEO of a multimillion-dollar esports organization. This is in addition to maintaining his position as a content creator on Twitch. As he is someone who understands all aspects of the streaming industry and production, it’s worthwhile to check out what he’s chosen to use in his setup.

WHAT HEADSET DOES NADESHOT USE?
Nadeshot uses JBL Quantum One headset. The JBL Quantum One is an over-ear, wired, closed-back headset that is powered with a 3.5mm stereo jack. The closed-back design helps with noise-cancelling, but should probably be used with caution, as using them at too high a volume could potentially causing lasting damage to the user’s eardrums due to the high sound pressure that they create.
This 7.1 surround sound headset also integrates QuantumSPHERE 360 technology that provides a head-tracking sensor to realistically pinpoint in-game positioning vis-à-vis opponents and other in-game sound sources.
It has 50mm drivers that provide a frequency response range of 20 – 40,000Hz, a sensitivity of [email protected] and have an impedance of 32Ohms. The detachable microphone is unidirectional and has a frequency response range of 100 – 10,000Hz and a sensitivity of -41dBV @1kHz/pa.

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES NADESHOT USE?
Nadeshot uses a Shure SM7B microphone. Nadeshot has doubled up on both his microphone and camera in order to ensure that his sound quality remains consistent and that he can alternate angles to spruce up the stream flow. However, this is definitely not advisable for someone who is just starting out and doesn’t yet have the subscriber base and viewer following to justify such an investment.
The Shure SM7B is a dynamic microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, meaning that it will pick up sound from the direction that it is facing, while noise coming from behind the microphone will be quite stifled, if it is even picked up at all.
In addition to its internal pop-filter and detachable external windscreen for further eliminating unwanted sounds, it also has an ‘air suspension’ shock isolation feature to eliminate noises caused by vibrations.
Its nominal output impedance is at 150Ohms, its frequency response range is between 50 – 20,000Hz and it has a sensitivity of -59dB. It requires the investment of an XLR cable and audio interface, but not phantom power.

It has two SD slots and is capable of recording onto both simultaneously so as to avoid losing footage in case one card should become corrupted. It weighs 645g (1lb) and has dimensions of (5.83 x 7.56 x 6.14”). Further specs can be found here.
In addition to the body, it also comes with a cable holder, hot shoe cover, battery, battery charger, camera body cap, shoulder strap, USB connection cable, AC cable, as well as a product booklet and use guides.
This camera is clearly intended for outdoor and IRL use by photographers and videographers and far surpass the needs of the basic streamer. So, if you’re starting out as a gaming streamer, we recommend that you consider a basic webcam and then move on to more sophisticated equipment if needed later.

WHAT MIXER DOES NADESHOT USE?
For streaming Nadeshot uses an RME BabyFace Pro mixer. The RME Babyface Pro is another high-level piece of equipment. It is a portable audio interface that allows for 12 input and 12 output devices for a total of 24 channels. It can also act as a preamp for two microphones and two instruments simultaneously. This makes sense, given that Nadeshot records his own podcast.
The chassis is constructed from a single piece of aluminum. There are four built-in XLR connector ports, two for inputs and two for outputs and can provide +48V of phantom power. There are also two instrument jacks and two headphone outputs, one with a mini jack and one with a standard jack. There is also a midi breakout cable port, an ADAT output and input port, a USB port and a DC input power port.
All of the audio control options can be set on the device and are shown on the LED screen, and the input and output devices can also all be tweaked individually. Furthermore, the RME TotalMix FX software is fully integrated into the device, meaning that the BabyFace Pro doesn’t need to be connected to a computer in order to be activated, as it can be used with PCs, Macs and iOS devices.
It also comes with a hard-shell plastic case and soft pouch to make it easier to transport to different locations. There are also slots for a breakout midi cable and USB cable.

The most obvious advantage of a mouse over a controller is that it can make aiming easier. In a first person shooter, or any game where accuracy is important, a mouse is usually a competitive advantage, and facilitates easier execution of reaction-based shooting, like flickshots.
In April 2016, Nadeshot left OpTic Gaming and started his own esports organization called 100 Thieves. He has since gone on to grow his brand and includes Drake and Scooter Braun. The organization is now valued at $125 million USD and he remains its CEO. His streaming setup includes three
