If the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the threat of full-scale war in Europe have taught us anything, it is that the West is blessed with the strongest, most steadfast and principled leadership.
I am convinced that Vladimir “Bully” Putin spent the weekend under his bed, crying in his pillow, repenting the day he decided to bully little Volodymyr Zelensky.
Putin knows he has to hide his life and no begging will spare him the rod. Ultimately, he will have to pay for his actions. To begin with, he was expressly forbidden to place his soldiers and their tanks next to Zelensky’s playground.
The entire European leadership, as well as director Joe Biden himself, told Putin to pack his toys and play nicely. Not once – he was warned repeatedly. But did he listen? New.
Biden and the rest of the world leadership probably thought Putin would be shocked if they reacted by showing various landmarks around the world – such as the Eiffel Tower – in the blue and yellow of
the Ukrainian flag.

It clearly didn’t have the expected effect on Putin, as he laughed, kicked open Zelensky’s gate and pushed his soldiers forward. Well, that left Biden and the EU no choice but to raise the stakes on punishment.
Together they decided to halve his pocket money and to limit the things he can buy in the tuck shop. Oh, the fear that will arouse! The custodians of the world order must have been convinced that Putin would likely report voluntarily to the office and beg for clemency.
What they clearly haven’t negotiated is that Putin will probably just take pocket money from another victim and buy his treats elsewhere. That’s what bullies do.
I expect that, if Putin continues to be naughty, he can expect the ultimate punishment on the receiving end before the end of the week: Biden will have no choice but to call his parents.
I can already hear his knees throbbing with fear.
