Shroud Team Wins Valorant Competitive Debut

Michael Grzesiek AKA Shroud, a Twitch star and former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Player, made his VALORANT competitive début at the VALORANT Champions Stage 3 Challengers 2 in North America. His team ‘What’s Going On’ won over fans during their initial round.

Shroud’s team defeated “Damn I Love Fwogs” 2-0 in round one. They won 13-6 on Haven, and 13-4 on Bind. While introducing KAY/O, the new VALORANT agent KAY/O to Haven, his record was 11 kills and ten deaths. By using the robot killer agent’s utility, he racked-up a record 12 assists. ShawnBM was a fellow teammate, and a VALORANT content writer. He scored 24 kills, and eight fatalities during the battle.

Shroud was the Omen on Bind controller agent, earning 16 kills and 6 assists. This match saw Laski win the Team MVP award with 20 kills. What’s happening was won by EZ5 after a strong showing on the PRO 64 map. EZ5 won the series 2-0. Haven won on the second map. EZ5 also won the first round. EZ5 then won 13-7. EZ5 took the PRO 64 match on map 2. EZ5 claimed the series 2-0. EZ5 lost the PRO 64 match on map 2 and won 13-7. EZ5 took the PRO 64 match on map 2, Haven. EZ5 came out on top with 13-5.

Relyks said that although they won only one match, they didn’t expect much. They were playing for fun and hadn’t practiced.

Shroud and iiTzTimmy, Relyks and Laski stated earlier on Twitch that they would be attending the VCT along with a strong squad.

Shroud repeatedly stated on stream that his team is playing for entertainment and not competitive gaming. The Shroud fans, however, love to see the competitive side of Shroud after so many years of being focused on content and broadcasting.

Shroud admitted that VALORANT is a great game and why he will not be playing it again after Riot made it available last year.
