Skadoodle’s Gaming System: An in-depth look

Skadoodle, a professional Valorant player started as a player for the Alliance of Valliant Arms in 2010. He then moved on to CS:GO. He returned to the Valorant pro-scene in 2018, after a 2-year break due to burnout. He is well-known for not only his stellar fps, but also his education content and engagement in chat.

Skadoodle is using a BenQ ZOWIEXL2540 monitor. The XL2540 gaming monitor has a 24.5″ resolution and a TN LCD screen. The XL2540 refreshes at maximum 240Hz with a 1ms response time. NVIDIA GSync and AMD FreeSync are compatible, which prevents screen tearing or stuttering. The relevant GPU card is required, along with the appropriate refresh rate. The device also includes a variety of additional features such as Black eQualizer, which increases the brightness on dark screens as well as low blue light and color vibrance features.

You can tilt it at -5deg20deg or swivel at -45deg45deg. It can also be pivoted 90deg. The height can also be adjusted to up to 14cm. The dimensions of the unit are 90deg. The base is rubberized and bonded to the surface to help keep it in its place. It can also be easily folded up to transport or storage.

Skadoodle uses the Logitech G Pro keyboard. It is a wired, tenkeyless gaming keyboard with GX Blue switches. They operate at an actuator force of 50G with an actuation point 2mm and a travel distance of 3.7mm. The keys give off a clicking sound. The backplate is made from steel and is covered in plastic for extra durability. Next, the switches are set up with keycaps.

The Logitech G Pro software can set the RGB-compatible, per-key backlighting and macro profiles for the 12 F keys. A Game Mode button can be used to disable certain keys so they are not activated while playing games. This includes a compressor, noise reducer and limiter that will improve the quality of your input. The mic also features a 4-mm condenser capsule. It operates in a unidirectional pattern and has a response time of between 100 and 10,000Hz.

The headphones are equipped with PRO-G hybrid 50mm neodymium neodymium driver pairs that offer a frequency range from 20 to 20,000Hz and a 32-ohm nominal impedance. This dynamic microphone is made from dark grey enamel aluminum with a steel casing. The microphone has an unidirectional polar design with frontal address. It provides frequency response rates of 50-20,000Hz and a nominal impedance 150O.

Skadoodle is using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Generation) mixer, paired with the Cloudlifter CL-1 microphone activator. Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Generation) is a single channel XLR mic preamp designed to deliver up to 48V of phantom current. You can turn this function off. You can fit one headset and one input device. It also has AD-DA convertors capable of mixing and recording at 24-bit/ 192kHz. The Cloudlifter CL-1 also boosts the mic’s gain by 25dB. It helps reduce the amount of feedback that can occur during live recording. It is not intended to be used with phantom powered mics. Therefore, an additional XLR cable will be required in order to provide phantom power for the mic and the mixer.
