Felix Lengyel, a popular Canadian streamer known as xQc, has made the transition from a lucrative gaming career to being a full-time streamer. While xQc is a skilled streamer, his reputation was marred by numerous controversies. These are some of the more difficult situations that xQc found himself in over the years.
xQc struggled to live in the spotlight since he was a professional Overwatch gamer. Felix, a Dallas Fuel member in 2017, would report anyone who interfered with his game or was not keeping up with him. Blizzard banned Felix’s account after 72 hours due to his misuse of the “report button”.
Lengyel explained that “if you look at my stream you will see that I’m very competitive and always aim to win games.” “I’m slowly learning that not all ranked players have the same goals and I shouldn’t let them get me down.”
xQc has often let his competitive streak get the best of him. However, when the streamer didn’t get what he wanted, xQc made sure other players were also affected. He was banned from Overwatch for seven days because of “non-participation”, going AFK frequently, and any other behaviour that adversely impacts the team’s experience.”
“I have a tendency to let go of being strained by rank and pressure after long days,” xQc said later. It’s not a great situation. “I should have turned off my computer and gone about my daily life,” 2018 may have been the most controversial season for xQc. Lengyel used derogatory remarks at the beginning of the season to provoke an openly homosexual opponent. He was therefore banned from participating in Stage 1 matches, and fined $2,000 for his conduct. xQc was suspended from four matches and fined $4000 after using an emoticon in Stage 2 to make racist comments.

Shortly after the incident, Lengyel had been removed from Fuel’s roster. In a statement by ESPN, Mike Rufail, the owner of the team, stated that “Ultimately it was in our best interests and Felix to part ways before his contract expires.” We care more about Felix’s success than anyone, and believe that he has a bright future.
Felix displayed an inexplicable lack of shame when he showed a nude NPC in-game in February 2020. After watching another stream with gorillas, his fourth Twitch ban was swiftly followed by his fifth.
Recently, Twitch was banned from streaming clips of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games rebroadcasts.
Although xQc will not be able avoid scandal in the immediate future, he is a good role model for aspiring streamers. His life is a perfect example of “with great power comes great accountability.” One must learn from past mistakes.
